Radius and Corridor Search

Radius Search

When adding a posting in the Equipment Screen there is now the ability to specify a radius to search around the origin and destination points. The allowed radius differs depending on where you are searching. For searches in eastern North America you can specify an origin radius between 50 to 400 miles and a destination radius between 50 to 500 miles. For searches in Western North America the origin and destination radius can be set up to 1000 miles In the Load posting screen this radius search is set by default to 100 miles.

Country Borders

In situations where a radius extends across the border between Canada and the United States, matches will only occur if the origin and/or destination countries match. Click here to view a detailed description of Country Border Logic.

Corridor Search

Corridor search is the ability to see load pickup and drop off points along the route. The corridor route is set according to your origin and destination points and the radius specified around these points. This is an option in the Equipment posting screen only.

Using Radius and Corridor Search Together

Combining. both Radius and Corridor search together will allow you to cover multiple regions across Canada and the United States. Further the origin is from the destination and large the radius will allow you to cover the greatest area and will allow you to cover multiple regions.

Taking the example below (diagram 1.0) if you made Point A to be Los Vegas, NV and Point B to be Toronto, ON, you would be able to cover most of the South Western, South Central, Blue Mountains, North Central and Central Canada regions and parts of North West, New England regions and you would be able to receive leads for all of Central USA, Great Lakes, North East regions. all in one posting.By making the radius smaller you make the corridor narrower.
