Requesting Mileage

To request a Mileage report you must be in the adding equipment/loads screen. The Mileage request option is available as a check box at the top of the screen. Check the mileage request box and fill out the appropriate information in the Mileage tab.

Components

·        Origin and Destination points

·        Routing Method - in this field you have four options. Click the drop-down list to view your options.

1. Shortest  will find the shortest trip possible.

2. Practical optimizes the trip for speed, for majority of trucking companies this method seems to provide the best routes.

·        Reduce Toll - when selected the route chosen will not use long stretches of toll roads, but will use short toll bridges when there is no practical way around them.

·        Borders Open - if your route will be crossing any borders make sure this option is selected.

·        Select either Miles or Kilometers

Once you have set up the mileage request, click on save and make your call into the TransCore Link Logistics network to process it.

Viewing Mileage Reports

You can request or view your Mileage Report for equipment and load postings any time in Loadlink.Net

How To Access

At the Postings screen, a   will appear to the left of the entry to indicate the mileage request has been returned.

To view your mileage report;

1. Double-click the map icon

2. Use short cut key (Ctrl +M) to view the mileage report of the selected posting.

OR

3. Select the posting and click View|Mileage from the pull down menu or pop-up menu

To print the report, click the printer icon on the toolbar, or select File|Print from the pull-down menu.

Note: The Mileage feature is available as an add-on feature with subscription to Link Gold or Link Platinum.
